And what better way to greet this bountiful season than with a festival of illumination and beauty, known as the Festival of Lights. The Festival will take place from March 20th to March 24th when Zagreb city centre will turn into a parade of light shows and audio-visual treats. Explore how artists use city streets, buildings and monuments as a canvas for high tech installations, video mapping, lasers and graphics effects that create a spectacle of images and figures.
Visit 20 different locations during the Festival and prepare to be utterly swept away. Enter Tunnel Grič, and you will immerse in an incredible world of the magical forest. Walk down Tomićeva Street and let the light guardians show you the way or walk on water at Opatička Street. People tell you that you live with a head in the clouds? Then be sure to visit Zagreb City Museum courtyard decorated with Cloud Pergola, ''mathematized cloud'' installation. You always wanted to see meteorites heavenly glow? Well, if you visit extraordinary light installation at Tuškanac, you can. All of this, and many more waits for you during four special days when Zagreb transforms into the alternate electrifying world.
Since the Festival takes place in the city's centre, we recommend using public transport to avoid traffic jams and search for parking space.
